Avengers: Endgame Star Mark Ruffalo Says Filming Marvel Movies Can Be 'Humiliating'

It might be every Marvel fan's dream to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but according to Avengers: Endgame star Mark Ruffalo, filming Marvel movies can be a bit "humiliating."

Speaking in an interview with GQ, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo opened up about what he thought of the filming process at Marvel. The Now You See Me star has been part of the MCU ever since Avengers premiered in 2012, and so he's had quite a lot of experience filming for the comic book franchise. Working on a Marvel movie might be fun, but the actor says that the process can be a bit humiliating because of the form-fitting leotard he has to wear for motion capture sequences.

"It was so humiliating," he laughed as he described his "man-canceling suit" in the video. "All of the actors, whenever I would walk out, would just start laughing at me because they were in their cool superhero costumes and I'm wearing ridiculous pajamas that make me look like a Chinese checkers board."

It can't be helped really. Marvel wouldn't be able to properly capture Hulk's strength and form without motion capture technology, and that means Ruffalo wearing a leotard for work.

Even though he's in pajamas, Marvel fans think that Ruffalo's pretty cool. Right now, fans are wondering what kind of role Ruffalo is going to play as Marvel continues with Phase 4 of the MCU. In Avengers: Endgame, fans got to see Bruce Banner coming to terms with the angry green man inside of him, introducing to the MCU Smart Hulk. We can only wonder whether Smart Hulk's going to have a major role to play in Marvel's She-Hulk series for Disney+.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
