Avengers: Endgame Star Gwyneth Paltrow Sued For Alleged Hit And Run Ski Accident

It looks like Marvel's star Gwyneth Paltrow might need a bit of ski training because the Pepper Potts star's just found herself in the middle of a civil trial.

According to CBS, Avengers: Endgame actress Gwyneth Paltrow has just been sued for a hit and run incident while she was having a ski trip in Utah a few years back. The lawsuit plaintiff Terry Sanderson claims that Paltrow bumped into him back on February 26, 2016, causing injuries during a major accident at a ski resort in Utah.

Sanderson says that during that time, Paltrow was skiing way "too fast for her ability and was distracted."

"Paltrow got up, turned and skiied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying the snow, seriously injured," the suit says. "These defendants realized and/or should have realized that 'hitting and running' away after Paltrow struck and injured [Sanderson,] leaving him alone and later denying or covering up the fact that Paltrow caused the crash would distress [Sanderson] and cause him illness and bodily harm."

Taking place in at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, the ski resort accident resulted in brain injury, four broken ribs, and what seems to be other major injuries. Deer Valley Resort is also listed as a defendant on the suit because according to Sanderson and his legal team, a worker at the establishment had allegedly filed a false incident report so that they could protect Paltrow from damages that would arise from the accident.

Despite the severity of the claim, Paltrow denies the allegations.

"This lawsuit is completely without merit," the actress wrote in a statement. "Anyone who reads the facts will realize that."

Paltrow is set to appear in Avengers: Endgame which premieres on April 26, 2019.
