It looks like internet celebrity Logan Paul is swimming into another pool of controversy this week. A year after advertising on his YouTube channels was suspended for his "pattern of behavior," Paul has started looking for another issue to drown in, this time inviting the wrath of Marvel fans by declaring war against Marvel's Asgardian God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth.
The Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame star just recently posted a picture of himself and his wife Elsa Pataky (Fast and the Furious franchise) attending a UFC event together. Making fun of himself, as usual, Hemsworth made a self-deprecating joke in the post's caption, saying that he wouldn't get into the cage even if his wife wanted him too.
"Nah seriously Elsa there's no way I'm getting in the cage, I pretend to be tough, this sh*t is real....is there green screen involved?? @elsapatakyconfidential @ufc," the actor wrote on his post.
While fans couldn't help but laugh at Hemsworth's joke, Paul decided to take Hemsworth seriously, killing the thread with an aggressive comment saying that he'd take on the Avengers: Endgame star any day of the week.
"I'd fight you, probably an even match," Logan Paul replied on the thread.
While some took offense over this comment, some netizens have been defending Paul, saying that the YouTube personality was just trying to joke around and that he wasn't trying to start anything with the Marvel star.
Of course, the exchange is open to interpretation, so it's really up to you whether you get upset over Logan's comment.
What do you think of the exchange? Was Paul trying to challenge everyone's favorite God of Thunder?
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
