Avengers: Endgame Possibly Teased on Doctor Strange's Trip to the Multiverse of Madness

There is little doubt that Avengers: Endgame packed a lot in just a little under three hours. But did the film also tease on what would happen next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? A new theory suggests that the fourth Avengers movie revealed that Doctor Strange's trip to the Multiverse of Madness has already happened.

The new theory was shared on Reddit and it points out that Professor Hulk actually dropped a clue about how the multiverse was made in Endgame. "If you go back to the past, that becomes your future," Hulk had told his friends. Interestingly, the heroes split up and went back into five different timelines. With that in mind, it's possible that the beginnings of the Multiverse of Madness were already planted.

"All have different timelines, go to different pasts and if what hulk said is true MUST have different futures. All those different versions must create some ‘madness'," the theory reads. This seems to fit quite well with what could happen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

It's important to remember that the theory only points out five different timelines where the heroes went back to the past. This does not yet include the instances where Scott Lang was repeatedly sent back as well as the test involving Clint Barton. Needless to say, there could be several different futures to see in the second Doctor Strange movie.

For now, the premise of the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch film is still a mystery. Hopefully, we'll learn more about the MCU flick in the future.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021.
