Marvel Study Reveals Ensemble Films Make Better Money Than Origins

Avengers: Endgame hasn't even premiered but it looks like the movie's already making waves at the box office.

Now that the film's managed to rake in $169 million at the worldwide box office ahead of its release in the US, Box Office Mojo says that the film has managed to enter the top ten highest-grossing films of the world wide box office this year.

This $169 million haul was taken from a number of places. The film gathered $107.5 million during its opening in China. It also raked in $8.4 million when it premiered in South Korea. In Australia, Endgame managed to bring in a $7 million haul. In France, the film gathered $6 million. These are just some of the early film markets that Endgame has already opened in.

Now, Endgame trails behind films like The Lego Movie: The Second Part ($189 M), Us ($247 M), Glass ($247 M), Dumbo ($310 M), Shazam! ($326 M), Alita: Battle Angel ($404 M), How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World ($515 M), The Wandering Earth ($699 M), and Captain Marvel ($1.09 B) at the global box office.

Take note, these numbers are only for the film's international box office haul. This doesn't include the film's domestic earnings yet.

Unsurprisingly, analysts predict a massive win for Endgame once it finally premieres in the US with the film tracking around $850 -$900 million once it launches globally. The film could even do better and exceed a billion during its opening weekend.

Avengers: Endgame premieres tomorrow, April 26.
