The long wait for the Avengers 4 trailer is over but Marvel Studios has yet another surprise for fans. Avengers: Endgame has a new release date set in April.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer has dropped and it's giving us our first glimpses at the survivors after the events in Infinity War. Tony Stark looks utterly defeated while Steve Rogers actually sheds a tear in Wakanda. Although everyone in the film is clearly in mourning, fans are celebrating and for good reason. Marvel Studios has confirmed that the movie will be out a week earlier next year. Check out the first poster below.

This isn't the first time that Marvel has moved the premiere date for one of their highly anticipated films. Infinity War was initially set for a May release before the studio announced that it will hit theaters in April. Needless to say, it's great news for fans who simply cannot wait until May for Endgame.

Interestingly, the trailer makes no mention of Captain Marvel, who is expected to debut in her own standalone movie in March. Is Marvel keeping Carol Danvers' appearance a secret until she gets her big-screen introduction next year? There are speculations that Carol will pop up in the follow-up teaser for Endgame.

It's no surprise that the trailer only features the Infinity War survivors. Nevertheless, it's great to see Jeremy Renner's return as Clint Barton. However, it also looks like he'll be going under the name Ronin instead of Hawkeye in the new film.

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
