Avengers 4 Trailer Delayed Because of Former President Bush's Funeral

A lot of Marvel fans started to get excited when some credible sources had announced that the trailer for Avengers 4 would be dropping this Wednesday, but it looks like they're going to have to do a bit more waiting. As it turns out, the release has been pushed back to make way for the funeral of former president George H.W. Bush.

Though a lot of people are sure to be bummed by the delay, it's still very likely that we'll get the drop sometime within the week. At best we could be getting the A4 trailer on Thursday morning instead. Plus, we'll also be getting a new preview for Shazam! as well as Sony's Spider-Man: Far from Home.

While a lot of international fans may think that an American day of mourning may not apply to them, it does seem in bad taste if Disney would release a huge trailer during the day of a funeral. To be honest, I think it's great that the studio was able to have hindsight to pull the trailer. Imagine the storm of criticism that would drop if they continued the trailer drop during the day of the funeral.

For now, all we can do is just wait for the day to pass. I'm sure a lot of people are frustrated over the long wait, but at least it won't have to be for any longer. Besides, Marvel just dropped a new trailer for Captain Marvel, and we can spend the rest of those days just poring over every frame until every clue and reference is found.

Catch Avengers 4 in theaters May 3, 2019.
