Avengers 4: Contracts Ending For Original Avengers Actors

The still unnamed Avengers 4 has recently been billed as a finale for the MCU. While there are still 20 Marvel movies planned after Avengers 4, Kevin Feige has promised a new era of MCU films will take place after this movie. Aside from being a climax of everything that's been built since the first Avengers, it might also be a finale because the contracts for every original member of the team is going to end.

During a lengthy story from Vanity Fair, it was revealed that the contracts for Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) would be ending. Hemsworth even joked during the photoshoot for the magazine, saying that this would be the last time they would get to hang out like this.

It's worth noting that contract extensions have been done in the past, so Avengers 4 might not be the last time we see these actors as our favorite heroes. At the same time, some actors have expressed interest in ending their MCU roles. Chris Evans actually extended his contract to last until the fourth Avengers sequel, seemingly confirming his exit from the MCU.

Avengers: Infinity War is slated for a May 4, 2018, release. The unnamed Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
