Kevin Feige Says Marvel’s Planning 20 Movies After Avengers 4

Thor: Ragnarok is finishing up its overwhelmingly successful theatrical run in cinemas, and Marvel fans are ready to sit down and finish all the films Marvel Studios has lined up for the rest of Phase 3. There's a lot of excitement building up over the epic Marvel superhero team-up movie event, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 and then after that the Marvel Cinematic Universe moves on to Phase 4.

Speaking with Vanity Fair about the future of the MCU, Marvel's head honcho Kevin Feige reveals that the studio's ready for the next phase of the franchise, saying that they're already lining up 20 films after Avengers 4. That's a lot of movies – more or less eight to ten years worth of content for the MCU.

"22 movies in, and we've got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that's come before—intentionally."

That's exciting to hear, though we are expecting a lot of changes to the franchise after the end of Phase 3. Marvel is hoping to focus more on the Marvel Cosmic Universe after the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Doctor Strange and of course Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor: Ragnarok is currently screening in cinemas. Avengers: Infinity War makes its big debut on May 4, 2018, while Avengers 4 premieres a year after on May 3, 2019.
