Avengers 4: A Close-Up Of Iron Man's 'Alien' Arc Reactor

We've seen some images of Tony Stark's new ‘alien' armor from Avengers: Infinity War, and a lot of speculation is going around to how he actually got it. Did an alien symbiote attach itself to the armor and made Iron Man look like that, or was it armor forged in Asgard? The suit also seems to be running on some alien tech as well, because we have a new close-up image of Tony Stark's new arc reactor.

Check it out:

Longtime MCU fans would recall that Stark had supposedly ‘fixed' his heart problem by the end of Iron Man 3, thus removing the need for him to wear an arc reactor at all. Since the tech looks very Guardians of the Galaxy, I'm guessing Tony will get his hands on the same mechanics that makes Star-Lord's helmet disappear, and the chest piece can actually morph into the new alien armor we've been seeing from the promos.

Earlier I speculated that Thanos was going to use the time stone and alter Tony's biology to put the shrapnel back inside him, but looking at the alien tech in GOTG, it's possible that Iron Man would want in on the space-compressing science and apply it to his suits. It's not the most farfetched idea.

Avengers: Infinity War has wrapped, but the cast is now hard at work with the upcoming Avengers 4. Let's hope 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe pays off for everyone in the end.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out May 4, 2018, and Avengers 4 hits theaters May 3, 2019.
