Iron Man Spoiler Confirmed By Avengers: Infinity War Set Photo

Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Warriors don't go into battle unprepared and with the Avengers getting ready to face the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin), it seems like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has decided to add on some enhancements to his usual get up.

Downey Jr. just shared a new photo of himself ready to play Ironman on the set of Avengers: Infinity War. The Hollywood star's photo might seem pretty innocent with the celebrity standing next to his Marvel co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau, however the reactor underneath Downey's jacket is calling for attention.

Though the jacket's partly covering up his chest, fans can't help but notice the arc reactor set on Tony Stark's chest; an updated core that looks quite different from the Avenger's older installments. Not only is it larger than Tony's older arc reactors, it also seems a lot less triangular and bulkier.

This comes as a surprise to many. Tony had his arc reactor surgically removed in Iron Man 3, and ever since then he hasn't had any on his chest.

However it's no surprise to see Tony reviving the use of his tech in Infinity War – everyone needs to prepare for the battle with Thanos. There hasn't been a greater threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than this Mad Titan powered by the Infinity Gauntlet and it certainly looks like Tony's going to be forced to power-up his Iron Man suits.

Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas May 4, 2018 while its untitled sequel, Avengers 4, is slated for release on May 3, 2019.
