Avatar Sequel Titles Have Reportedly Been Revealed

James Cameron might have only given broad general details regarding the sequels to his 2009 blockbuster hit, Avatar, but with Avatar 2 just about two years away from its release, it looks like fans can finally have the titles of the upcoming films.

For the past few years, the follow-ups to Avatar have simply been called Avatar 2, Avatar 3, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5. However, it seems like BBC just recently viewed "documentation" about the Avatar franchise, and according to the publication, four projects were referenced in the documentation of the series' future plans.

These projects include Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulken Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.

Recalling details about the projects that Cameron gave away during the past few years, the publication reminds fans how The Way of Water seems to align with the director's little revelation in 2017. Back then, Cameron said that there would be a "tremendous amount of water work across Avatar 2 and 3."

Another interesting detail that Cameron revealed last year was Kate Winslet's role in the film. The Award-winning actress who is joining the Avatar franchise has been set to play "a character who's part of the Sea People, the reef people." Knowing this information, it seems very likely that we'll get to see Winslet in Avatar: The Way of Water.

Let's just cross our fingers and wait and see.

Avatar: The Way of Water is scheduled for release sometime December 2020.
