Attack on Titan Season 4 Update Possibly Debunks Final Movie Speculations

There is little doubt that people are already hyped up for the last episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2. After all, fans are expecting the anime to continue beyond The Final Season in a film that will adapt the last nine chapters of the manga. However, the latest update on the series might not be as hopeful about a possible movie after the anime concludes!

The official Attack on Titan Twitter account recently confirmed the release dates for The Final Season Part 2 Blu-ray and DVD. The post confirms that there will be two volumes, the second of which will include the special orchestra concert video from August last year.

Fans were delighted to know that the Blu-ray and DVD will be released in the summer of this year. However, some were also worried that The Final Season's home video release is already announced without any confirmation about the movie that is expected to be released after Part 2 concludes.

For now, it is important to remember that the film has not yet been confirmed by the franchise. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that it will still be announced after Attack on Titan Episode 87 airs next week. In addition to that, there is a huge possibility that the movie will be released separately from the main series.

Attack on Titan Episode 87 was initially set to premiere on March 28 but the season finale has been pushed back due to a special program being broadcast on NHK General TV. Still, the last episode is set to be an hour long so fans believe it will be worth the wait.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 28 is titled The Dawn of Humanity ("Jinrui no Yoake") and is named after the manga's Chapter 130. Episode 87 will premiere on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
