It's almost time for another episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 and that means we can continue seeing Eren Yeager in action. However, it looks like Yuki Kaji is already hyping up the anime's big ending. The voice actor who plays Eren admitted that he cried after working on the second half of The Final Season!

Yuki Kaji has provided the voice of Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan for a long time so it makes sense that he empathizes with the character after four seasons. Kaji is also a huge fan of the manga and is well aware of how the anime will end. Nevertheless, the voice actor confessed in a recent NHK Japan interview that he still got emotional while recording for Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2.

"If they are the same words, is it possible to express them differently? As I asked myself that question, I studied about what would be the closest feeling to that thought and that made me think about how good this manga is," Kaji said. "It's awesome that change had on Eren and his emotions."

He further added that he is not the only one who empathizes with Eren Yeager.

"Even if you think about it carefully, you'll feel how painful he had to feel. When I was reading the script and dubbing some scenes from home on my own, at that time I couldn't stop thinking about it. Even though I had already read the manga and knew what was going to happen, when it came to acting, I really felt what Eren felt and couldn't stop shedding tears," Kaji said.

It's no surprise that Kaji was so emotional. Fans have always been attached to the characters in Attack on Titan and that is especially true now that the anime is coming to an end. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Eren's endgame later this year.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 2 is titled Sneak Attack ("Damashi Uchi") which is a clear reference to the manga's Chapter 118. The 77th episode of the anime will premiere on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
