There is little doubt that the latest episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 was a truly shocking one that left fans reeling. While this week's episode was action-packed and loaded with major shockers, it looks like Episode 79 will be focusing on nostalgia and the emotional turmoil between Zeke and Eren Yeager. The official synopsis and first image from The Final Season's 20th episode have just been revealed!
The first image from Attack on Titan Episode 79 features Zeke and Eren talking to someone. It's a still from footage that had previously appeared in the preview for next week's episode.
The official synopsis for Attack on Titan Episode 79 reads as follows:
"The little brother rejected the older brother, and the older brother didn't abandon the little brother. Only the desire to save him.
"At the end of the Paths, Eren and Zeke learn the truth about their father Grisha, as well as the memory of that day."
This certainly confirms that Zeke is determined to show Eren how Grisha Yeager had brainwashed him through the years. However, there is little doubt that Eren has a surprise for Zeke as well. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what happens for the brothers next week in Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2.
The Attack on Titan Episode 79 script is written by Hiroshi Seko while Yuichiro Hayashi worked on the storyboard. Koki Aoshima directs the episode while the Chief Animation Director is Masaru Kitao. Aikari Minagawa, Hideaki Matsuoka, and Weiqing Wang served as Animation Directors.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 20 is titled Memories of the Future ("Mirai no Kioku") and takes its name after Chapter 121 in the manga. Episode 79 will air on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
