The DC Universe has been gaining a lot of steam over the last couple of months and fans are already invested in what James Gunn and Peter Safran have in store for the rebooted franchise. Unsurprisingly, the first chapter of the new DCU will revolve around flagship heroes like Superman and Batman, with the latter finally bringing the Bat-Family to the fold.

Speaking of the caped crusader, another character fans want to see in the new DCU is Catwoman and apparently, they already have a prime candidate for the role and it's none other than Star Wars sequel trilogy actress Daisy Ridley.

Instagram artist @clements.ink shared an astonishing artwork of the Star Wars actress depicted as Selina Kyle. It turns out, many have been fan-casting Ridley as Catwoman in the new DCU. A lot of folks are convinced she resembles the character especially now that she's sporting a much shorter hairstyle. What do you think? Check out the image below:

It isn't the first time Daisy was fan-cast in a comic book role. For years, fans have been clamoring to see her play Barbara Gordon in the SnyderVerse. She was even the top candidate amongst fans for the Batgirl role before Leslie Grace was cast in the canned HBO Max film.

Personally, I like the idea of Ridley playing an anti-hero in the DC Universe. Despite what others may think, I don't see her as a one-dimensional actress and if anything, I believe she could pull off more than just a "Mary Sue" type of character.

The new DCU will dive deep into the Bat-Family in Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
