Assassination Nation Red-Band Trailer Has Some Crazy Trigger Warnings

NEON

NEON has released a red-band trailer for the upcoming crime drama film Assassination Nation, and it offers up some trigger warnings such as sexual content, racism, sexism, blood, giant frogs, and gore. It's obviously not for the easily-offended. The film follows a Salem high school senior Lily (Odessa Young) and her friends, who spend time in a haze of partying and social media. When the people of Salem became victims of a malicious data attack, all privacy is ruined and lives are destroyed as deadly secrets are exposed. They turn on each other and descend into a raging chaos as they hunt for the culprit. Lily and her pals must team-up together so they can survive the night.

Here's a poster that comes with the tagline, "You asked for it, America."

Assassination Nation looks like a mix of The Purge and Kill Bill. It's probably going to be one of this year's most controversial films.

The film was written and directed by Sam Levinson, and also stars Suki Waterhouse, Bill Skarsgard, Bella Thorne, Abra, and Hari Nef. It's also being produced by Man of Steel's David S. Goyer.

It's set to release in theaters on September 21, 2018.
