Ascendance of a Bookworm begins as the story of Urano Motsu, a bookworm working her way towards becoming a librarian. But this is an isekai anime, so she dies very early in the series. While doesn't get to live her dream in this world, her dying wish, to have more time to read books might yet be fulfilled, in a totally unconventional way!

Reborn in medieval times as a frail 5-year-old girl named Myne, our main character will have a hard time finding material to read. But Myne won't let that stop her. Even if she must make the books herself, she stays true to her bookworm dreams, always looking for more things to read!

Season 3 of Ascendance of a Bookworm will focus on Myne's new life as Rosemyne, a Lord's daughter, working towards her dream of establishing the first printing press of her time.

By episode 2 of the newest season, Myne is tired, and homesickness takes a toll on her. The occasional visits by Lutz, Tuuli and Benno might help, but, overall, it's hard for Myne to be away from the only friends and family she has known, making this an emotional episode.
