About Ascendance of a Bookworm

Ascendance of a Bookworm is an isekai show by studio Aija-do. Departing from the heroic and most often male formula that is very common for the genre, the protagonist here is a young, female bookworm!

When Urano, an aspiring librarian, is killed under the weight of her book collection during an earthquake, she wishes for time to read more. Little did she know that she would soon find herself in the body of Myne, a 5-year-old girl in the Medieval times - and with a fantasy twist.

Being reincarnated in an era that hardly fosters booklovers' passion, Myne is still determined to determine her own future and achieve her dream to read as many books as possible - even if she must make her very own printing press.

It has not been confirmed yet when Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3's English dub will be released.

At the time of writing, Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 is available to watch on Crunchyroll with English subtitles. This, however, is going to change soon, as Crunchyroll has announced its SimulDub lineup, confirming that Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 will get an English dub, as well as a Latin American Spanish and a Russian dub.

Previous episodes of Ascendance of a Bookworm have already been dubbed in English, featuring Reba Buhr (also the voice of Nikaido in Dorohedoro, Ginshu in Children of the Whales, and several voices in Beastars). We assume that the same voice actor will return for the English dub of Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3.
