It's been almost three months since the Arrow series finale featured that Green Lantern tease. Fans saw John Diggle in the penultimate episode preparing to leave Star City, a meteor then came crashing down, revealing a small box that shows a green glow. Arrow didn't show what was inside, but it was meant to be thought of as the Emerald Knight's ring. Now, actor David Ramsey gives a better look at what was in the mysterious box.
Taking to Instagram, Ramsey shared a behind-the-scenes image from the surprise Green Lantern scene. Although it shows that the box didn't have a ring inside, the photo essentially unveils the prop and the light effect used to properly execute the tease.
Diggle becoming the Green Lantern is one of the show's biggest fan theories and that last scene seemingly confirms that speculation. However, both Ramsey and producer Marc Guggenheim can't confirm anything yet.
"We'll still see, believe it or not," the actor said in a previous interview. While Guggenheim pointed out that the scene was set after making a deal with DC Entertainment, and saying anything beyond what was shown in the episode would "violate" their agreement with DC.
That said, whether or not he takes the Emerald Knight's mantle in the future, fans can't wait to see more of Ramsey's adventures as John Diggle.
