Armie Hammer Apologizes For His Controversial Stan Lee Comments

While most of the entertainment industry has been paying tribute to Stan Lee, one celebrity took it upon himself to call out people for sharing their selfies with "The Man," which was dumb. In an attempt to call out the current selfie culture that has taken over, the star didn't realize that this is all some people had to remember Stan Lee. That celebrity is Call Me By Your Name star Armie Hammer, who eventually regrets his actions.

On Twitter, Hammer decided to apologize to the people he offended and even thanked Jeffrey Dean Morgan of The Walking Dead, who called him out on his behavior. It's a short but simple apology and one that many felt was necessary, given how unjust his complaints were. While some fans aren't going easy on him, others are more forgiving and take solace in the fact that he decided to say sorry.

Hammer calling out fans over sharing their selfies with Stan Lee was, to be honest, pretty disgusting on his part. While some people were on Hammer's side, feeling like the fans were using these selfies to make it about themselves, most were angry since these pictures are the only memories some people have with Stan. Not everyone has worked for Marvel.

Still, this apology is a step in the right direction and we can only hope that he is serious about controlling his Twitter impulse control. Hammer seems to mean his apology and it looks like things are only going to get better from here on out.
