Are We Getting Injustice 3 Soon? Injustice Writer Teases Something Big

Of all the alternate universes that exist in DC, Injustice has to be one of the best. Starting out as a tie-in to a video game, it quickly turned into one of the most engaging versions of the DCU, with shocking character arcs, constant death, and fans crying after almost every big event. It's pretty great and we've been waiting for a follow-up to the excellent Injustice 2, which is why this teaser from writer Tom Taylor has us excited.

Taylor shared a quote from the Batman of that universe before sharing an image of the Injustice "I." Does that mean we're getting a new comic book set in that universe? Or will we get an actual Injustice 3 video game, which will then lead to more wonderful Injustice comic books? Either way, we're in for a good time you guys.

While the games are good fun, fans were genuinely surprised by the quality of the Injustice comic books. They didn't feel like cheap tie-in comics as Taylor gave himself to the universe and clearly loved writing the morally complex issues that this universe raised. The only shame about these comics is that they are prequels to the games, which minimized the stakes somewhat.

It's worth noting that Warner Bros. did release Injustice: Gods Among Us as a free title for no particular reason not too long ago. Not sure if that's a sneaky way to market the upcoming third game but fans who hadn't played it did appreciate the gesture. Injustice 2 is available now for a fairly cheap price and its GOTY edition often goes on sale so check that out as well.
