Instead of treating himself because it's his birthday, Justice League director Zack Snyder treated fans to a new footage off the movie.
Aptly captioned "Working on my birthday," the video shows a quick glimpse at the underwater world of Aquaman, as well as Jason Momoa swimming in its depths.
The video is far from high quality, but viewers can easily distinguish Momoa as Aquaman swimming towards another sea creature. According to iO9, this creature could be none other than his half-brother Orm or Ocean Master, portrayed by Patrick Wilson in the movie.
As far as first impressions go, Aquaman is really no laughing matter nor is it anymore the joke of DC heroes. The world alone is something to gawk at, complete with structures and flora, one that makes me think what The Little Mermaid could've been like as a live-action movie with a badass hero for a protagonist.
Apart from marveling at how the creators will allow for dialogue even in this very underwater setting, speculation is now abuzz on whether this footage suggests that Ocean Master will first be seen in Justice League to set him up for the solo run.
Justice League will be out in theaters on Nov. 16, while Aquaman will hit the big screen on Oct. 5, 2018.
