Aquaman Star Patrick Wilson Pokes Fun At Underwater Breathing Device

(Warner Bros.)

Ocean Master is clearly unimpressed with land dwellers. Aquaman actor Patrick Wilson has just revealed how his character truly feels about human creating a device that will allow them to breathe underwater.

According to CNN, a designer has invented artificial gills that will allow swimmers to breathe underwater without heavy equipment. The news found its way into social media, where Wilson gave it the perfect response from Orm Marius.

Wilson was not the only Aquaman star who couldn't help but react to the lightweight breathing apparatus. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II replied to the tweet also in character as Black Manta. "Yeah, and some of us do! What's your point!!?" Abdul-Mateen fired back.

The real Ocean Master couldn't help but make fun of Black Manta's own breathing aid with his response.

It's certainly refreshing to see the cast of Aquaman having fun with their characters. The film might still have a serious tone but the actors clearly had fun working on the DC Extended Universe movie, with or without special breathing devices. We wouldn't be surprised if Orm and Black Manta have a similar exchange in the film itself.

Aquaman also stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren, and Temuera Morrison. The film will also feature Preacher actor Graham McTavish in an undisclosed role.

Catch Aquaman as it hits theaters on December 21.
