Aquaman Star Jason Momoa Joins Fast and Furious 10 in Villainous Role

For the past few years, Jason Momoa has become one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to his role as Aquaman in the DCEU as well as his roles in Dune, Game of Thrones, and See. Now, it looks like he is joining another big movie franchise as he is set to face off the one and only Dom Toretto.

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Momoa is in final negotiations to join the cast of Fast and Furious 10. There are no exact details yet about the role that he is going to play, but he is said to be one of the film's villains. He will join Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Ludacris, and Charlize Theron who are all expected to return in the next installment.

The plot details for the tenth film are still under wraps, but it is expected to once again feature cars, a globe-throttling action-adventure, and, of course, family with an ending where the main characters gather for some barbeque and a good time.

The project was entangled with drama recently when Diesel publicly asked Dwayne Johnson to return in the next film. However, Johnson responded that he is not interested to come back to the franchise. Momoa's casting is believed to be a placeholder for Johnson's absence and to add more muscle that can square off against Dom Toretto just like John Cena's casting in F9.

It is interesting that Momoa is going to join the Fast and Furious franchise to play the villain, which is the type of role that he doesn't usually play as he is always the leading action star. Of course, a lot of fans will now look forward to seeing him face off Diesel in muscle-to-muscle combat as the world and the family are at stake. It would also be interesting to see if Cena will also be part of the next film as it would mean that Aquaman and Peacemaker will be on the screen together.
