Aquaman Marriage Proposal Becomes Viral With Reaction From James Wan

Not only did Aquaman win the Christmas Box Office last year, but it also won over hearts after a DC fan decided to propose to his Girlfriend during a screening of the DC Extended Universe film.

DC follower Drew Herring just recently proposed to his "Queen and Bestfriend" while waiting to see a screening of James Wan's Aquaman right before New Year's Eve. The fan posted a video of the proposal on his Twitter account and the post soon became viral on the social media platform.

"Not only did I see one of my favorite films of the year today, but I also got engaged to my Queen and best friend!" Herring wrote on his post "Thank you [James Wan] for bringing my Hero to life with Heart and Respect."

It's a pretty sweet video – from the looks of it, we're sure that Herring and his now-fiancée are both big fans of Jason Momoa's King of Atlantis. The proposal caught the attention of Wan who couldn't help but retweet the video, cheering the couple on.

"Yes, that's how you do it!" the director tweeted. "A screening of Aquaman and a marriage proposal! Huge Congrats to you both!!! Here's to love."

This is another win for Aquaman. The past two weeks, the watery Arthur Curry standalone film has been making waves at the box office, raking in a total of $188 million at the domestic box office and then $748.8 million worldwide. Industry analysts expect the film to make it beyond $1 billion once it completes its theatrical run.

Aquaman is currently screening in cinemas.
