The review embargo for Aquaman had just been lifted and people cannot stop gushing about how James Wan brought the underwater world to life. Beside Ocean Master, one of the adversaries in the movie is said to be a tribe called the Trench, and there's a fun BTS photo of Amber Heard (Mera) posing with some guys in costume.

If you ask me, the Trench looks like some alternate design for the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and they look so creepy it can make your skin crawl. While we know the film needed a lot of special effects just to put everyone underwater, it's kind of cool to see some practical suits actually making it to the film. No doubt they're going to enhance the creatures with CGI for the final product.
So far, these guys look to be only one side of the Trench in the movie. My guess is that they will be siding with Orm when it comes to bringing the war to the surface world, but by the end, I have a feeling Arthur Curry will be established as king of Atlantis and all sides will agree for peace under his reign.
As I said, it's a guess.
Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.
Catch Aquaman in theaters Dec. 21.
