Aquaman Director Shares Exciting New Images From Jason Momoa’s Standalone Movie

Aquaman is a couple of months away from its release date, and Warner Brothers has been pretty busy adding to the hype of Jason Momoa's very first standalone movie as Arthur Curry. Not only has the studio been dropping Aquaman trailers and TV spots left and right, but it looks like director James Wan has been sharing a few pictures taken from the movie too.

Posting on Twitter, Wan decided to wow the DCEU fanbase with two new high-res photos taken from Aquaman. The first image gives fans a new look at Willem Dafoe's Vulko. Riding a hammerhead shark, Vulko looks pretty menacing. The second picture has Patrick Wilson's Orm. With his trident in hand, the half-brother and nemesis of Arthur rides on the back of a terrifying sea creature called a Tylosaur.

"Vulko and King Orm on their steeds #hammerhead #tylosaur #sealife #underwaterkingdom #Aquaman #highres," Wan wrote on his post.

Check out the tweet down here:

These are really cool pictures, and we're definitely excited to see all the underwater action in Aquaman. After all, Momoa did once say that his upcoming DCEU movie would be "like Star Wars underwater," and so far the footage that Warner Brothers has released has been nothing short of exceptionally heart pounding.

Hopefully, Aquaman turns out to be a success for the sake of the DCEU. Warner Brothers' burgeoning superhero franchise has been struggling to find its bearing, but hopefully, things have started to change for the better with the restructured organization of DC Films.

Aquaman is set to swim its way to cinemas on December 21, 2018.
