New Aquaman Toy Shows Off the 'Brine King'

With Aquaman being one of the biggest movies coming this Christmas, it would make sense that DC would be careful when it comes to revealing too much in the marketing. Usually, the biggest reveals actually come from toy leaks, and photos of some incoming figures give us a look at the ‘Brine King.'

With the movie dealing with the clash of several underwater kingdoms, I'm guessing the Brine King is just one of many more royal figures we'll meet in the film. Besides him, we have King Nereus (Dolph Lundgren), The Fisherman King (Djimon Hounsou), and Aquaman himself (Jason Momoa). I would also count Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) and Orm (Patrick Wilson) as royal figures, but they already hale from the same kingdom. With the seven seas, I'm guessing we'll get seven kingdoms, and we have four more kings/queens to watch out for.

After the debacle that was Justice League, the DCEU had to grind to a halt in order to fully assess where they were going wrong. This led to the hold-up of several movies, and as of now, Flash has been delayed again, and Cyborg has no update in sight. With the release of Aquaman, the DCEU is attempting to pick itself up again.

If all else fails, there's still three more films actively in the works, Shazam!, Joker, and Wonder Woman 1984. Not to mention the upcoming Birds of Prey movie which is starting production early next year.

Aquaman is aiming for a release on Dec. 21.
