April's Xbox Games With Gold Includes a Classic Star Wars Game

The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch might be killing it with their exclusive games but the Xbox One does one thing well that these two don't: play Xbox 360 and Xbox games. Sure, the lack of exclusives for the system has been a major downer but fans with older Xbox games can play their older titles on their newer system.

Now, Star Wars fans who have an Xbox One have something to be happy about as Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be part of April's Xbox Games with Gold. No, not Battlefront 2 from EA. Battlefront 2 from LucasArts. Breathe easy.

Battlefront 2 will be joined by The Technomancer, Outcast: Second Contact, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter. These games definitely differ in variety and are all pretty promising, which is more than what can be said for Sony's PlayStation Plus titles sometimes. Who needs cool exclusives like Spider-Man? Or Bloodborne?

Well, those are still kickass games so never mind.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 from the original Xbox, as well as PC and PlayStation 2, was a fan-favorite game with great gameplay modes and an awesome cast of classic Star Wars characters. While some would argue that the new game from EA has improved since it's messy launch, it's worth noting that classic Battlefront launched well from the get-go. Sure, online might have been buggy on consoles, but at least there wasn't controversy regarding microtransactions.

Fans with Xbox Games with Gold can get classic Star Wars Battlefront 2 from April 1 to April 15 for free.
