Ahead of the series’ upcoming release, Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 got a new key visual that depicts Eren Yeager in his fearsome Founding Titan form.
The new key visual was revealed in a special event that happened recently in Japan. It was also shared on the show's official Twitter account.
Attack on Titan's Multi-Part Final Season
Attack on Titan is a manga series by Hajime Isayama that was serialized monthly in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021.
It is one of the best-selling manga of all time, having over 110 million copies in circulation as of September 2022.
More than just the manga, the franchise as a whole is also incredibly popular, both in Japan and worldwide.
This is thanks to the anime adaptation which became a smash hit when the first season aired in 2013. The anime was produced by Wit Studio from Seasons 1 to 3.
But beginning with the fourth season (aka The Final Season), production was moved to anime studio MAPPA.
This last season is separated into multiple parts, with the third upcoming part billed as the last.
As for its story, the series is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the last remaining humans hide behind three massive walls to keep themselves safe from Titans.
These Titans are giant humanoid creatures that exist solely to devour humans.
While the walls have kept humanity safe, a Colossal Titan attacks one day and kicks a hole in the outer wall.
The series then follows Eren Yeager, a boy who survived the Colossal Titan’s attack.
He and his companions enlist in the military, and soon, it’s revealed that there’s more to the world than it seems.

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 Key Visual
This new Final Season key visual features Eren in his Founding Titan form in the lower middle part. Surrounding him are Mikasa, Armin, Connie, Jean, Levi, and Reiner.
Based on the events of Part 2, this visual all but confirms that the remaining scouts (and former scouts) are going to make their way and fight Eren.
Though how they will do so is still up in the air, especially considering how massive the Founding Titan is.
Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3 will be released in early 2023, but there’s no word on a specific release date yet.
