Anya Forger and Her Struggles to Become an Imperial Scholar
For over five centuries, Eden Academy has been known for its exceptional graduates who have led thriving careers in each of their fields and specialties.
These graduates are former imperial scholars whose portraits have been hung on what seems like a hall of fame inside the academy.
From politicians, scholars, artists, athletes, and engineers, the imperial scholars have always been successful in their chosen careers.
Through ceaseless painstaking effort and unflagging self-control, and by never letting failure quell their drive to succeed, the imperial scholars honed themselves through rivalries and partnerships.
Anya Forger is an aspiring imperial scholar, but the road ahead of her is long and difficult.
To be selected, Anaya needs to distinguish herself in a wide variety of subjects, including visual arts, music, and even sports.
Technically, Anya needs to earn eight stella to become an imperial scholar.
She can achieve this by excelling in her studies during exams, receiving academic achievement from different subjects or fields, or earning one from community service.
According to past records, numerous Stella have been awarded for long-term volunteer activities, and there are also rare cases of community service Stella being awarded for singular feats like saving lives or assisting law enforcement.
However, Loid Forger has long abandoned the plan for Anya to become an imperial scholar due to her study habits.
He believes that Anya rising to the top of a school so full of exemplary students will be a fool’s errand.
Does Anya Become an Imperial Scholar?
As of writing, Anya Forger has yet to become an imperial scholar in Spy x Family. She is still in the first grade, but this doesn’t mean that she can’t become one as soon as possible.
Anya received her first Stella after saving Ken’s life. Ken was a young boy who was undergoing physical therapy in the same hospital where Anya and Loid decided to volunteer.
He fell into the swimming pool, and it was Anya who sensed that his life was in danger. Thanks to her efforts, Anya gets a Stella for helping and saving another’s life.
Then, Anya goes by the name Starlight Anya after becoming the first student in her class to ever get a Stella. It is said that she was also the fastest student to ever get one!
Meanwhile, Anya received her second Stella after the bus hijacking incident. Her support for her fellow students through the crisis and her efforts to bring a quick resolution without anyone getting hurt earned her a Stella.
She was awarded along with Becky, Bill Watkins, and even Damian.
For now, Anya has a total of two Stellas, similar to Damian Desmond, who earned his first Stella in the midterm exams.
On the contrary, Anya also has two tonitrus bolts. While stellas can make a student become an imperial scholar, tonitrus bolts can expel a student from Eden Academy.
Anya earned her first tonitrus bolt on orientation day after she punched Damian in the face.
She received her second tonitrus bolt after Mistress Donna Schlag, aka Old Lady Tonitrus, punished her for not having a handkerchief.
This has been known as the handkerchief incident, where Anya lent her handkerchief to Damian to avoid him getting a tonitrus bolt.
At this point, we all know that Anya will not become an imperial scholar based on the results of her exams.
She’s most likely to earn the rest of the stellas in different and unique ways, like the bus-hijacking incident or saving yet another person’s life from danger.
