We already know that Sam Wilson is taking over as the new Captain America after Steve Rogers gave him the iconic shield in Avengers: Endgame. However, we have yet to see Falcon wearing the classic Captain America suit. Luckily, a new fan art teases on how Anthony Mackie will look as the new Cap and it's certainly stunning.
The fan art was created by digital artist Artoftimetravel and shared on their Instagram account. It depicts the Falcon and the Winter Soldier star in Captain America's suit from Captain America: Civil War. Check it out below.
It's certainly a stunning image but it's unlikely that Sam will be wearing some old suit that Steve had lying around. There is a possibility that Mackie's costume will be significantly different from any of Steve's suits but the idea is still a great one.
Although Mackie had previously teased that he has already been fitted for the Captain America suit, we have yet to get a glimpse of the new costume. Interestingly, the first poster for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier actually shows Falcon wearing his own suit. Nevertheless, we're hoping that we'll get an awesome surprise in the Disney+ series.
Mackie will reunite with Endgame co-star Sebastian Stan in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. They will be joined by Civil War's Emily Van Camp, who will reprise her role as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, as well as Daniel Bruhl who will return as Helmut Zemo. New cast member Wyatt Russell was announced at D23 Expo 2019 and will play John Walker/US Agent.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on August 2020.
