We finally know that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be bringing back Sharon Carter and introduce a new character played by Wyatt Russell. But will the actors actually get along? A new photo shared by Anthony Mackie confirms that the cast already loves hanging out together.
Mackie shared the picture on his official Twitter account and it features the Avengers: Endgame star with Russell, Sebastian Stan, and Emily VanCamp. Check it out below.
"We all got together to Welcome Wyatt Russell to the cast, then it got weird... why can't we all be as beautiful as Emily VanCamp!" Mackie wrote before adding the hashtags #DisneyPlusDays and #MarvelCrew.
The image was taken after the actors took the stage at D23 Expo 2019. The only cast member who was not in attendance was Daniel Bruhl, who will reprise his role as Helmut Zemo in the Disney+ series.
Russell is clearly getting along fine with his new co-stars and we're certainly looking forward to seeing him in action. The Overlord actor is set to portray John Walker, who is also known as US Agent. Interestingly, like Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, John also took on the Captain America mantle in the Marvel comic books. With that in mind, his inclusion in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier should be an interesting one.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to begin production soon and is scheduled to air on Disney+ on August 2020.
