Ant-Man Star Paul Rudd Acts Opposite Himself in Trailer for Netflix's Living With Yourself

With Will Smith acting opposite himself in Gemini Man, Netflix also has its own double-role series with Living With Yourself. Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) is set to star, and Netflix has released this interesting new trailer for the show.

Here's the official description:

Miles Elliott, a man struggling in life, undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, only to learn he's been replaced - literally - by a better version of himself.

The series is said to span for eight episodes and will be told from multiple perspectives and intersecting storylines. Living With Yourself is also being described as an existential comedy that asks, "Do we really want to be better?"

Despite his knack for comedy, I think Paul Rudd can actually bring some drama to his roles, and it's kind of evident here in Living With Yourself. While I expect some Rudd on Rudd hijinks, I also expect there to be some serious scenes of self-reflection, especially when it comes to the original Miles contemplating whether his life would be better off if Miles 2.0 just replaced him completely.

This is also just me, but you can see a lot of similarities with the Rick and Morty episode Rest and Ricklaxation. In that episode, Rick and Morty go into an alien spa which is said to remove their toxins; they come out feeling better, but as it turns out, the toxic versions of themselves were sentient and found a way to escape the machine and cause mayhem:

After the MCU, I'm pretty excited to Rudd to come back to these smaller-scale films. Catch Living With Yourself when it comes out on Netflix Oct. 18.
