Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently receiving a lot of lavish praise for its exceptional storytelling and groundbreaking animation puts it in the conversation of potentially being one of the best animated and comic book movies of all time.

The directors, writers, animators, and voice actors behind the film are heavily credited as the key figures regarding why the sequel was such a huge accomplishment.

However, as it turns out, there was one notable MCU writer who was also involved in the making of the movie and contributed to certain aspects of its writing.

Jeff Loveness, who wrote the screenplay for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, revealed in his recent tweet on Twitter that he contributed jokes for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

He also shared a photo of the credits where he was mentioned in the "Special Thanks" section.

"Wrote some jokes for Spider-Man. Did not have a baby. Amazing movie," he wrote in his caption.

The MCU screenwriter also shared his relief that a lot of his jokes were made in the final cut and thanked the key creatives of the film for including him in the creative process.

He wrote in his follow-up tweet, "And so many jokes made it in! What a nice surprise. Huge thanks to @philiplord @chrizmillr @shinypinkbottle @JDS_247 and everybody else who let me help out in those early days. It was my first movie job ever. Just blown away at how it all came out."

Whatever you may feel about the writing of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it is still interesting to hear his involvement in the film and it just shows that they really consulted with other writers to punch up the script.

It should be pointed out that he wrote several issues of Spider-Man comics in the past which makes him qualified to contribute to this type of film.

He is also set to pen the screenplay for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty although there are rumors that he already exited the project, but there is no confirmation yet from Marvel Studios nor it has been reported by the major trades.
