New Ant-Man 3 Trailer Confirms the MCU Debut of MODOK

Over a month before its arrival in theaters, Marvel Studios released the new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which promises an epic adventure for Scott Lang and the Van Dyne/Pym family and an intense showdown against Kang the Conqueror, who is making his official MCU debut played by Jonathan Majors.

One of the biggest highlights of the new trailer is their confirmation of the appearance of M.O.D.O.K. in the film. Based on the quick glimpses that we saw, the character is played by Corey Stoll, who was also in the first Ant-Man film as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket.

It is unknown yet whether the MCU version of M.O.D.O.K. is Darren Cross' transformation into the character after being stuck in the Quantum Realm for a long time. There is also a possibility that Stoll is playing a new character in the MCU and it's another variant since we are in the Multiverse Saga after all.

M.O.D.O.K.'s appearance in the film has long been rumored ever since its production and there have also been speculations going around the web that Stoll is making his surprise return to play the role. During that time, Marvel Studios was keeping mum on the rumor.

Eventually, Funko leaked the character's appearance in the film when they revealed that he is getting his own Pop figure. Now, Marvel themselves finally confirmed that the beloved giant-head character is making his MCU debut in the upcoming film.

While Kang the Conqueror is obviously the main antagonist of the film, it is curious to see how M.O.D.O.K. will play out in the story and whether they will reveal that he is indeed Darren Cross from the first film.

The film's synopsis reads: "Superhero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, and Scott's daughter Cassie Lang, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible."

The cast includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, Bill Murray, David Dastmalchian, Randall Park, William Jackson Harper, and Katy O'Brian. Peyton Reed returns to direct the film.
