The Ant-Man film series has always been presented as a feel-good franchise that truly embodies the Marvel Cinematic Universe's overall family-friendly tone. However, there's no denying that the franchise will be undergoing some serious changes in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania with the arrival of Kang the Conqueror who is dubbed as the next Thanos-level threat. Apparently, he's not the only big bad that will wreak havoc in the upcoming threequel and according to a new rumor, another major Marvel comics villain will also be making his grand debut to the billion-dollar franchise.

The folks over at Geeks WorldWide are reporting that Corey Stoll, the actor who played Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket in the original Ant-Man film will be returning in Quantumania but there's going to be a massive twist to his involvement. According to the site, Stoll won't be returning as Yellowjacket and will instead be voicing notable Captain America villain M.O.D.O.K., one of the baddies persistently rumored to be making his way to the MCU in Phase 4.

It's unclear whether Stoll's old and new characters will be connected but the idea of Darren Cross transforming into M.O.D.O.K. thanks to the Quantum realm isn't something so farfetched to buy into especially given the fact that Marvel Studios has retconned a few characters in the past. A few months back, Wasp actress Evangeline Lilly fueled speculation about Stoll's return in Quantumania but turns out, he's not coming back as his old self.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will hit cinemas in 2023.
