Ant-Man 3 Teaser Reveals David Dastmalchian's New MCU Role

A lot of MCU fans have been looking forward to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is set to release in just a couple of weeks. The stakes for our favorite tiny hero are bigger than ever before as he is going to face Kang the Conqueror in the Quantum Realm.

One of the mysteries of the upcoming film is the involvement of David Dastmalchian, who appeared in the first two installments as Kurt, who is set to play the new role of Veb. Who is the new character? Why was his role recast in his next MCU appearance? Now, we have our first clue regarding his new role.

Marvel Studios recently released a new 3D TV spot for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (via @Cryptic4KQual) which gave us a brand new look at the upcoming film including our first look at Dastmalchian's new character, Veb.

Based on the quick footage that they showed, it looks like Veb is a character who lives within the Quantum Realm. He has a glass red helmet-type in his figure with a gooey body inside. Scott Lang seems to be surprised when he encountered him.

It still remains to be seen whether Veb and Kurt are just the same characters or they are different variants of an individual. Perhaps this is also just a case of Dastmalchian playing multiple roles in the MCU and they got away with it since Veb is not a human being like Kurt.

The film's synopsis reads: "Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible."

The cast also includes Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, Bill Murray, William Jackson Harper, and Katy O'Brian. Peyton Reed also returned to direct the film.
