Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever not only broke a major box office record during its theatrical run, but even became the No. 1 most streamed once it landed on Disney+. Now that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is beginning the new Marvel Phase, it's only natural for fans to wonder when the threequel is Disney Plus-bound.

Well, we might have a guess. According to The Direct, MCU movies normally spend an ample amount of time in theaters before they’re off to Disney Plus to earn a streaming record. The average number of days MCU movies get is around 47-70 days, including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Based on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s box office, the sequel set a new record of 82 days before it went onto the streaming platform. The gap between November 2022 and February 2023 was the largest since Marvel films had been releasing their films on Disney+.

As for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, seeing as how its Rotten Tomatoes review has been receiving mixed ratings from critics and fans, the potentially predicted Disney+ release of the threequel will likely be on April 5, which is in 47 days from now.

Marvel Phase 5’s opener has a lot resting on its shoulders, what with Kang the Conqueror’s official introduction in the MCU, especially with the rare case of Ant-Man leading the new phase for the next upcoming Marvel films.

Though it would be interesting to see how Ant-Man 3’s box office would perform, it was previously forecasted that it would have a ‘weaker opening’ than Thor: Love and Thunder’s.

The Ant-Man threequel is expected to earn between $96 and $131 million upon its opening weekend at the box office, which is lower than Thor: Love and Thunder’s $144 million.

This is quite a positive note for Ant-Man 3 seeing as compared to its earnings in the previous installments: Ant-Man ($57.2 million) and Ant-Man and the Wasp ($75.8 million), this possibility of becoming box office success would lead to a theatrical run extension, which could delay its Disney+ release.

In the meantime, you can catch Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in theaters on February 17.
