Another Magic: The Gathering Product Was Reportedly Delayed in Europe

Jumpstart, the supplemental Magic: The Gathering booster set with mostly reprints and some new cards, was intended to be released on June 26, 2020, and was pushed back to July 17. While Magic players in North America and other regions are already enjoying the paper version of Jumpstart, it looks like fans will have to wait until October.

Several Redditors said that they were informed about the delay of Jumpstart's release. Redditor KiroBolas shared an email from a European distributor, informing customers about the delay. The email reads: "Wizards of the Coast has informed us about the further postponement of the arrival of the Jumpstart product. According to preliminary information, the product will be available around the beginning of October the soonest. Please stay tuned - once we have the final date, we will immediately inform you, and give an opportunity to adjust your preorders."

While some customers have to wait for the release of Jumpstart, MTG Arena players were able to play the new cards digitally in the Jumpstart online events. This is not the first MTG product that experienced a delay in shipment. Recent Secret Lair drops were also delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
