It seems like next year's Black Widow movie is almost done with shooting. David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian in the movie, has already finished his duties and now, so has Florence Pugh. The Fighting With My Family star was confirmed to have wrapped up filming for the Marvel movie by one of her fans. Hopefully, this means things are going smoothly and the movie ends up being good.
While Pugh has finished initial shooting, one has to remember that reshoots are a thing and they could always bring her back if they feel like her character needs more development. This isn't a bad thing, it's just that reshoots have garnered some stink about them after they severely changed Zack Snyder's Justice League and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Florence Pugh is set to play as Yelena Belova, the other Black Widow character who Marvel fans are familiar with. The movie is set to explore Natasha's origins and secrets about the Red Room, which is where the other Black Widows are made. It's pretty similar to how there were other Winter Soldiers in Captain America: Civil War.
Admittedly, I haven't seen Pugh's Fighting With My Family yet but I've heard good things about it so I can't wait to see how she does here. It's not yet known if we'll see more of Yelena in the MCU but things always change, especially with rumors of a Thunderbolts movie coming soon.
Black Widow comes out on May 1, 2020.
