Avengers: Endgame Fans Furious Disney Isn’t Pushing For RDJ’s Best Actor Award At Oscars

Avengers: Endgame has been one of the biggest films of the year, earning rave reviews from critics and raking in so much at the box office, the comic book movie's pushed Avatar aside to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

Now, Disney has created an Oscars For Your Consideration Campaign for Endgame. The Mickey Mouse House is pushing the film for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects for the film. However, Disney has decided against pushing for any awards for the film's cast.

Fans feel disappointed by the reveal, taking to social media to express outrage over how Disney has forgotten to push Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. for Best Actor at next year's Academy Awards.

Check out some of the things that fans are posting on social media:

It's no surprise to see fans outraged by how Disney overlooked pushing RDJ for the Best Actor Award at the 92nd Academy Awards. The actor's done so much for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His first Marvel film, Iron Man, brought the franchise to life. He's starred in quite a number of Marvel movies, helping build the franchise from the ground up. His character's developed so much since his first appearance in the MCU, turning from a selfish and narcissistic playboy billionaire to a true hero.

In Avengers: Endgame, Tony ended up sacrificing his life to put an end to Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his army. It isn't right for Disney to forget RDJ in its For Your Consideration Campaign.
