Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff remains famous as a former international cricketer, but he’s now most known as a TV and video presenter. As a cricketer, he played all forms of the game, from being the leading all-rounder to fast bowler to the middle-order batsman to slip fielder; he did it all.

At the time, ICC constantly rated him among the top international all-rounders in both ODI and Test cricket. So, how is Flintoff today, and how much net worth has he amassed?

The Life and Career of Andrew Flintoff

The 45-year-old debuted in 1998 and became an important member of the Lancashire Cricket Club. He was England’s “Man of the Series” in the 2005 Ashes and later became the captain and vice-captain of the team.

However, come 2009, Flintoff decided to retire from Test cricket at the end of that year’s Ashes series. He also retired from other forms of the game in 2010.

He then tried his hands at boxing and had a professional fight in November 2012, beating Richard Dawson on a points decision in Manchester.

In 2014, he came out of retirement and returned to the field to play Twenty20 cricket for Lancashire. Brisbane Heat signed him to play in the Australian Big Bash League for the 2014-15 season.

Since he retired, Flintoff has done several projects, from designing his own fashion line to becoming the face of the brand Jamco.

He also won the first series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Met Out of Here! in Australia and became a part of Sky One’s sports-based comedy panel show, A League of Their Own.

He's currently BBC One’s Top Gear presenter and has been so since 2019.

Andrew Flintoff Rushed to Hospital While Filming Top Gear

Flintoff was hurt in an accident while on the set of Top Gear. Before he was rushed to the hospital for further treatment, the former athlete was given medical care at the scene.

The incident happened at the location’s test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening.

A BBC spokesperson later said details about the event would be confirmed in “due course.”

It was also said that the accident didn’t happen at high speed.

"Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately,” the spokesman stated, per BBC. "He has been taken to hospital for further treatment, and we will confirm more details in due course."
