Amazon's Lord of the Rings Casts Young Galadriel

It looks like Amazon's Lord of the Rings series is going to be set a long time before the original movies. We knew that the series would essentially be a prequel to the movies we all rewatch every year but the most recent casting indicates that we are about to see a very early version of Middle Earth. How early? Reports have stated that Amazon has cast a young Galadriel.

Let's repeat that. We are going to see a YOUNG GALADRIEL. That is pretty darn crazy.

According to Variety, we will be seeing His Dark Materials and Dracula star Morfydd Clark as the young Galadriel, who was previously played by Hela herself Cate Blanchett. This is the first major character from Lord of the Rings cast for this series thus far, which is pretty shocking if we're being honest. Still, we give them credit for not immediately casting Legolas or Aragorn.

This series is going to take place in very early Middle Earth and a young Galadriel is big proof of that. Most of us know her as the beautiful elf that's part of the council, so seeing her as a child is going to be really interesting. Will we see how she becomes the wise elf we know from the movies? We're gonna have to wait and see.

Currently, Amazon's Lord of the Rings series doesn't have a release date.
