Last month, it was announced that an animated anthology spinoff series of The Boys is coming on its way which will feature different stories set in the series' universe. The news got some viewers excited as it will give us an expansion of the series and more overview of a world of superheroes owned by Vought International. Now, we know when it will premiere.

Amazon Prime Video has announced that The Boys Presents: Diabolical, the animated anthology spinoff series set in the universe of The Boys, will premiere with all eight episodes on March 4. They also released the first look at one of the episodes, "Laser Baby," which looks like it is inspired by the style of legendary animator Chuck Jones. You can watch it here:

The series, which will be consist of eight episodes running around 12-14 minutes, will reveal unseen stories within The Boys universe, brought to life by some of the most creative minds in entertainment today including Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, and Aisha Tyler.

Diabolical isn't the only The Boys spinoff series that is currently in the works. It was announced a while ago that they are also working on a college-set spinoff series which is described as "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive superheroes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys." However, there are no details yet about when this project will air.

It is exciting that Diabolical now has a premiere date which will be in less than two months. The first look video that they released is also very promising as it showed that there were no holds barred in the story that they are going to tell and it will be as bonkers and bloody as the parent series. It will also be a good appetizer as we're waiting for the third season.
