Amazing Saturday needs to skip its filming after most cast members tested positive for COVID-19.

More South Korean celebrities and personalities have contracted the dreaded disease amid the surge of Omicron variant in the country. So far, it recorded the highest single-day cases after 198,000 people caught the virus.

Unfortunately, celebrities are not safe from getting COVID-19, and it is already causing several programs to halt their filming.

Amazing Saturday Cast Members Contract COVID-19

This week, more Amazing Saturday cast members’ COVID-19 tests came back positive.

Park Na Rae’s agency, JDB Entertainment, confirmed on Wednesday that the comedic icon canceled her schedules for the next few days after testing positive for the dreaded virus. She reportedly underwent PCR testing as a precautionary measure on Tuesday and unfortunately received the diagnosis the next day.

“Park Na Rae is currently self-isolating in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities. She has previously received three doses of the [COVID-19] vaccine, and she does not have any particular symptoms,” the agency added.

Later that evening, Boom’s agency delivered similar news and revealed that he also tested positive through PCR testing. Meanwhile, a representative of Amazing Saturday announced that Nucksal also faced the same fate.

Their positive tests came days after other Kim Dong Hyun, Hanhae, and Key underwent PCR testing and were also diagnosed with COVID-19. Due to the cast members’ health status, Amazing Saturday announced the postponement of the show’s filming this week.

Amazing Saturday Cast Member Key Experiences Symptoms

While the exact status of Amazing Saturday cast members remains unknown, SM Entertainment confirmed that Key experienced symptoms before testing positive.

On Wednesday, the label released a statement confirming that the K-pop idol is currently isolating himself after his positive PCR testing result.

“Key has completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he has halted all scheduled activities and is taking the necessary measures to quarantine and receive treatment in keeping with the guidelines set by disease control authorities,” the statement continued.

SM Entertainment also assured to prioritize its artists’ well-being amid the COVID-19 surge.
