Few things in life are more fun than Mario Kart, with the recent Wii U port to Switch proving to be a great time for anyone involved. Of all the Mario spin-off games, this one is obviously the most popular and with good reason, so any form of love given to it is a great gesture. This is why fans are going crazy over the recent announcement that Hot Wheels would be releasing Mario Kart toys.
Unveiled during SDCC 2018, the toys will be available in summer 2019, so fans are in for a long wait. The designs look pretty darn great and there are a ton of recognizable characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and so much more. It's also worth noting that Wario has a toy and Waluigi doesn't so Smash fans have another thing to complain/meme about.
In all seriousness, it would be fun to see more characters like Donkey Kong and Shy Guy as part of the lineup. Then again, they could always release more if these sell well, so fans should prepare their wallets.
Thankfully, Hot Wheels announced that these toys will only be US$4.99 per figure, which isn't too bad. Kids will have to save their lunch money while adults can get them whenever they want.
