We're still waiting for an update on the Alita: Battle Angel sequel but that hasn't stopped fans from wondering what could happen in the new film. For instance, will the second movie introduce the other Motorball contestants? Some believe it is time to bring in Zafal Takié and that she should be played by Marvel Cinematic Universe star Danai Gurira.
The Alita Army Twitter account recently posted about the possibility of giving Zafal a larger role in Alita 2 since she only appeared briefly in the first movie. They also suggested that Disney should cast Gurira for the role.
It's not a huge surprise why people believe that Gurira would be perfect for the role. In the manga, Zafal, whose nickname is Crimson Wind, is depicted as a dark-skinned woman who never speaks and always appears stern. The character's appearance is actually based on pop singer Grace Jones but it's not hard to imagine the Black Panther actress for the part.
We're loving the idea of Gurira playing Zafal since the Walking Dead star has been amazing at playing strong, independent women who only have a few things to say. However, it is important to point out that the character has not yet been confirmed to appear in Alita 2. Moreover, Disney has yet to make an official announcement that a sequel is being made.
