Alfie Allen Reveals Sansa and Theon’s Fate in Game of Thrones Season 6

Warning: Spoilers below. Read at your own risk.

One of the major cliffhangers in Game of Thrones season 5 is Theon and Sansa jumping off the wall of Winterfell. Well, Alfie Allen, who will play Theon Greyjoy again for the sixth season of Game of Thrones, decided to drop some major spoilers about the two characters' fate after that big jump.

It's worth noting that the 29-year-old actor has previously landed himself in hot water with HBO before for his penchant for sharing to much details about the show, especially after George R.R. Martin reportedly revealed to him Jon Snow's fate.

Well, in his latest interview, the actor left little to the imagination when it came to Sansa and his character's fate after jumping the wall of Winterfell, probably tired of being too tight-lipped in his previous interviews this year.

In an interview yesterday, the actor revealed the following:

At the beginning of (season) six, you find him running through snowy, freezing forests leading the way with Sansa. They've just jumped off the wall of Winterfell and now they're on the run from Ramsay.
And we're running through and we come to a river and Sansa is just too scared basically to get into the river. So I get in. Don't believe the press shots! It looks like she's trying to get me out of the river, when I'm actually trying to be the strong one and get her in the river. Makes me look weak. Haha.

Seems legit, since we all know Sansa still has a big role to play in the series. But at least we know now that Theon and Sansa didn't come to any harm following their jump. Allen then continued to drop major details, pointing out Theon's motivation in protecting Sansa this time.

He sacrifices himself, because I guess he hasn't really got much worth or meaning for himself in the world anymore. And so he leads them away – or rather that's what he's trying to do.

Allen continues with his narrative, which sounded a bit muddled at this point. However, it's clear that the two try to part ways to distract the Bolton soldiers from following Sansa, although that attempt fails, according to Alllen. He said:

In fact he doesn't lead them away, because they see Sansa anyway and then Gwendoline Christie turns up as Brienne of Tarth and smashes everyone to shit. Dan Portman's there — Pod — and then Pod ends up having a fight with this guy and then Theon stabs the guy in the back with the sword. He kills someone for the first time in ages, which must be a gratifying experience.

From the looks of it, there seems to be nothing out of order with Allen's narrative. Everything he said just made sense, especially with Theon, Brienne, and Podrick, each of whom get a chance to protect Sansa and fight back after the events of past seasons prevented them to.

If everything Allen just revealed is true, then we're sure of Sansa's safety, but the same can't be said for Theon. It's still a mystery what motivated him to reveal all these details. Given that HBO has been forever strict with their actor when it comes to spoilers, the only reason for Allen's revelation could be that the actor may not care about the consequences anymore because his character could be very well killed off eventually.

As always, take this with a grain of salt. Allen could have made everything up to keep the questions off his back.

Game of Thrones season 6 will air on HBO on April 24.
